AIR NEW ZEALAND 60TH ANNIVERSARY POP-UP
Overview
Air New Zealand marked its 60th anniversary and the launch of Skycouch with a two-week pop-up at Hysan Place. The activation opened the doors to anyone curious about what flying with Air New Zealand actually feels like, bringing the cabin experience to the streets of Hong Kong.
Visitors could step into a VR experience of the Economy Skynest cabin, then take their chances at a Claw Catcher machine stocked with Air New Zealand plane models, merchandise and snacks. A dedicated Skycouch photo spot let guests sit, stretch and capture the moment as if they were already on board. The activation extended into a cafe collaboration with HOW to Live Well, where the space was dressed with Air New Zealand branding and a special menu of New Zealand-inspired drinks including kiwi specials and flat whites. The campaign launched with a Media and KOL session, allowing them to experience the activations and limited delicacies ahead of time, and share them on social platforms. Followed by a VIP celebration party the same evening, the brand invited Air New Zealand’s partners and brand friends to jointly celebrate the milestone of its 60th anniversary. The pop-up brought Air New Zealand's 60-year story to life for Hong Kong audiences, turning a milestone anniversary into an experience people could experience and share.
