Overview

Blue Bottle Coffee collaborated with Finnish design brand Marimekko to reimagine its Wan Chai cafe into a vibrant art space with Marimekko’s bold prints and joyful aesthetic. Their partnership sought to create more than just a common coffee experience — it offered visitors an immersive design experience that reflected the creativity and spirit of both brands. We supported Blue Bottle by overseeing the full creative decoration and installing Marimekko’s signature fabrics across the store’s seven windows and staircase, ensuring a seamless blend of both brands’ identities.

The Wan Chai cafe was filled with Marimekko’s iconic Unikko print in Blue Bottle’s signature blue tones. Guests were invited to enjoy their coffee surrounded by a vibrant yet soothing environment, where design and daily ritual complemented one another. This installation elevated the in-store aesthetic and also engaged the wider community, sparking interest from both coffee lovers and design enthusiasts.
